Generell informasjon

This product includes maternity verification and DNA profiling of the offspring. If the DNA profile of the (expected) mother is unavailable, a separate DNA profile needs to be ordered.
A DNA profile is established using DNA markers. The profile from each sample is stored in a database and can be represented as a barcode, which is unique to each individual. This DNA profile serves the purpose of parentage verification, involving a comparison of the genetic information present in an offspring with that of the potential parents. For accurate parentage verification, all genetic information in the offspring must be traceable to the combination of the dam and the sire. In the majority of cases, the reliability of this analysis exceeds 99.5 percent.

If the DNA profile of the parent(s) is performed in a laboratory other than VHL / CTG / VHP, it can occur the profile of the offspring can’t be compared with the profiles of the parents. The reason can be the testing of other hereditary characteristics at the other laboratory.

Denne testen er i samsvar med spesifikasjonene til Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA). Testen utføres av Certagen og resultatene aksepteres av ASCA. Markørene som testes er ikke identiske med de som er anbefalt av International Society for Animal Genetics (ISAG). Vennligst bestill denne testen hvis du vil registrere hunden din i ASCA.

STR-markørsettet som tidligere ble brukt av ASCA og Certagen har blitt erstattet av en annen teknologi (SNP-markører). Begge teknologiene er ikke sammenlignbare med hverandre. Hvis du har spørsmål om endringene og implikasjonene for foreldrebekreftelse, vennligst kontakt ASCA. Ved å bestille testen godtar du at dataene og genotypene overføres til ASCA. Vær oppmerksom på at ASCA ber om følgende informasjon for å sende ut et sertifikat: Hundens navn og ASCA-registreringsnummer (hvis det allerede er tilgjengelig), navn og ASCA-registreringsnummer til foreldrene og eiernavnet til avkommet. Hvis du ønsker å utføre en foreldreanalyse for valpene dine, må du sørge for at du har bestilt en SNP-profil for begge foreldrene før.
